Qaala bar Rabbukum Rabbus samaawaati wal ardil lazee fatarahunna wa ana 'alaa zaalikum minash shaahideen
21:56He said, ‘Indeed, your Lord is the Lord of the heavens and the earth, who originated them, and I affirm that.
Wa tallaahi la akeedanna asnaamakum ba'da an tuwalloo mudbireen
21:57By Allah, I will devise a stratagem against your idols after you have gone away.’
Faja'alahum juzaazan illaa kabeeral lahum la'allahum ilaihi yarji'oon
21:58So he broke them into pieces—all except the biggest of them—so that they might come back to it.
Qaaloo man fa'ala haazaa bi aalihatinaaa innahoo laminaz zaalimeen
21:59They said, ‘Whoever has done this to Our gods?! He is indeed a wrongdoer!’
Qaaloo sami'naa fatany yazkuruhum yuqaalu lahooo Ibraaheem
21:60They said, ‘We heard a young man mentioning them. He is called ‘‘Abraham.’’ ’
Qaaloo faatoo bihee 'alaaa a'yunin naasi la'allahum yash hadoon
21:61They said, ‘Bring him before the people’s eyes so that they may bear witness [against him].’
Qaalooo 'a-anta fa'alta haazaa bi aalihatinaa yaaa Ibraaheem
21:62They said, ‘Was it you who did this to our gods, O Abraham?’
Qaala bal fa'alahoo kabeeruhum haazaa fas'aloohum in kaanoo yantiqoon
21:63He said, ‘No, it was this biggest one of them who did it! Ask them, if they can speak.’
Faraja'ooo ilaaa anfusihim faqaalooo innakum antumuz zaalimoon
21:64Thereat they came to themselves and said [to one another], ‘Indeed it is you who are the wrongdoers!’
Summa nukisoo 'alaa ru'oosihim laqad 'alimta maa haaa'ulaaa'i yantiqoon
21:65Then they hung their heads. [However, they said,] ‘You certainly know that they cannot speak.’
Qaala afata'budoona min doonil laahi maa laa yanfa'ukum shai'anw wa laa yadurrukum
21:66He said, ‘Then, do you worship besides Allah that which cannot cause you any benefit or harm?
Uffil lakum wa limaa ta'budoona min doonil laah; afalaa ta'qiloon
21:67Fie on you and what you worship besides Allah! Do you not exercise your reason?’
Qaaloo harriqooho wansurooo aalihatakum in kuntum faa'ileen
21:68They said, ‘Burn him, and help your gods, if you are to do anything!’
Qulnaa yaa naaru koonee bardanw wa salaaman 'alaaa Ibraaheem
21:69We said, ‘O fire! Be cool and safe for Abraham!’
Wa araadoo bihee kaidan faja'alnaahumul akhsareen
21:70They plotted to harm him, but We made them the biggest losers.
Wa najjainaahu wa Lootan ilal ardil latee baaraknaa feehaa lil 'aalameen
21:71We delivered him and Lot toward the land, which We have blessed for all nations.
Wa wahabnaa lahooo Ishaaq; wa Ya'qooba naafilah; wa kullan ja'alnaa saaliheen
21:72And We gave him Isaac, and Jacob as well for a grandson, and each of them We made righteous.
Wa ja'alnaahum a'immatany yahdoona bi amrinaa wa awhainaaa ilaihim fi'lal khairaati wa iqaamas Salaati wa eetaaa'az Zakaati wa kaanoo lanaa 'aabideen
21:73We made them imams, guiding by Our command, and We revealed to them [concerning] the performance of good deeds, the maintenance of prayers, and the giving of zakat, and they used to worship Us.
Wa Lootan aatainaahu hukmanw wa 'ilmanw wa najjainaahu minal qaryatil latee kaanat ta'malul khabaaa'is; innahum kaanoo qawma saw'in faasiqeen
21:74We gave judgement and knowledge to Lot, and We delivered him from the town which used to commit vicious acts. Indeed, they were an evil and depraved lot.
Wa adkhalnaahu fee rahmatinaa innahoo minas saalihee
21:75And We admitted him into Our mercy. Indeed, he was one of the righteous.
Wa noohan iz naadaa min qablu fastajabnaa lahoo fanajjainaahu wa ahlahoo minal karbil 'azeem
21:76And before that Noah, when he called out, We responded to him and delivered him and his family from the great agony.
Wa nasarnaahu minal qawmil lazeena kazzaboo bi Aayaatinaa; innahum kkaanoo qawma saw'in fa-aghraq naahum ajma'een
21:77And We helped him against the people who denied Our signs. They were indeed an evil lot; so We drowned them all.
Wa Daawooda wa Sulaimaana iz yahkumaani fil harsi iz nafashat feehi ghanamul qawmi wa kunnaa lihukmihim shaahideen
21:78And [remember] David and Solomon when they gave judgement concerning the tillage when the sheep of some people strayed into it by night, and We were witness to their judgement.
Fafahhamnaahaa sulaimaan; wa kullan aatainaa hukmanw wa'ilmanw wa sakh kharnaa ma'a Daawoodal jibaala yusabbihna wattayr; wa kunnaa faa'ileen
21:79We gave its understanding to Solomon, and to each We gave judgement and knowledge. We disposed the mountains and the birds to glorify [Us] with David, and We have been the doer [of these things].
Wa 'allamanaahu san'ata laboosil lakum lituhsinakum mim baasikum fahal antum shaakiroon
21:80We taught him the making of coats of mail for you, to protect you from your [own] violence. Will you then be grateful?
Wa li Sulaimaanar reeha 'aasifatan tajree bi amriheee ilal ardil latee baaraknaa feehaa; wa kunnaa bikulli shai'in 'aalimeen
21:81And [We disposed] for Solomon the tempestuous wind which blew by his command toward the land which We have blessed, and We have knowledge of all things.
21:82Among the devils were some who dived for him and performed tasks other than that, and We were watchful over them.
Wa Ayyooba iz naadaa Rabbahooo annee massaniyad durru wa Anta arhamur raahimeen
21:83And [remember] Job, when he called out to his Lord, ‘Indeed distress has befallen me, and You are the most merciful of the merciful.’
Fastajabnaa lahoo fakashaf naa maa bihee min durrinw wa aatainaahu ahlahoo wa mislahum ma'ahum rahmatam min 'indinaa wa zikraa lil'aabideen
21:84So We answered his prayer and removed his distress, and We gave him [back] his family along with others like them, as a mercy from Us and an admonition for the devout.
Wa Ismaa'eela wa Idreesa wa Zal Kifli kullum minas saabireen
21:85And [remember] Ishmael, Idris, and Dhul-Kifl—each of them was among the patient.
Wa adkhalnaahum fee rahmatinaa innahum minas saaliheen
21:86We admitted them into Our mercy. Indeed, they were among the righteous.
Wa Zan Nooni iz zahaba mughaadiban fazaanna al lan naqdira 'alaihi fanaanna al lan naqdira 'alaihi fanaadaa fiz zulumaati al laaa ilaaha illaaa Anta Subhaanaka innee kuntu minaz zaalimeen
21:87And [remember] the Man of the Fish, when he left in a rage, thinking that We would not put him to hardship. Then he cried out in the darkness, ‘There is no god except You! You are immaculate! I have indeed been among the wrongdoers!’
Fastajabnaa lahoo wa najjainaahu minal ghamm; wa kazaalika nunjil mu'mineen
21:88So We answered his prayer and delivered him from the agony; and thus do We deliver the faithful.
Wa Zakariyyaaa iz naadaa Rabbahoo Rabbi laa tazarnee fardanw wa Anta khairul waariseen
21:89And [remember] Zechariah, when he cried out to his Lord, ‘My Lord! Do not leave me without an heir, and You are the best of inheritors.’
Fastajabnaa lahoo wa wahabnaa lahoo Yahyaa Wa aslahnaa lahoo zawjah; innahum kaanoo yusaari'oona fil khairaati wa yad'oonanaa raghabanw wa rahabaa; wa kaanoo lanaa khaashi'een
21:90So We answered his prayer, and gave him John, and cured for him his wife [of infertility]. Indeed, they were active in [performing] good works, and they would supplicate Us with eagerness and awe and were humble before Us.
Wallateee ahsanat farjahaa fanafakhnaa feehaa mir roohinaa wa ja'alnaahaa wabnahaaa Aayatal lil'aalameen
21:91And [remember] her who guarded her chastity, so We breathed into her Our spirit, and made her and her son a sign for all the nations.
Inna haaziheee ummatukum ummatanw waahidatanw wa Ana Rabbukum fa'budoon
21:92Indeed this community of yours is one community, and I am your Lord. So worship Me.
Wa taqatta'ooo amrahum bainahum kullun ilainaaa raaji'oon
21:93They have fragmented their religion among themselves, but everyone of them will return to Us.
21:94Whoever is faithful and does righteous deeds, his endeavour shall not go unappreciated, and We will indeed record it for him.
Wa haraamun 'alaa qaryatin ahlaknaahaaa annahum laa yarji'oon
21:95It is forbidden for [the people of] any town that We have destroyed [to return to the world]: they shall not return,
Hattaaa izaa futihat Yaajooju wa Maajooju wa hum min kulli hadabiny yansiloon
21:96until when Gog and Magog are let loose, and they race down from every slope,
Waqtarabal wa'dul haqqu fa-izaa hiya shaakhisatun absaarul lazeena kafaroo yaawailanaa qad kunna fee ghaflatim min haaza bal kunnaa zaalimeen
21:97and the true promise draws near [to its fulfillment], behold, the faithless will look on with a fixed gaze: ‘Woe to us! We have certainly been oblivious of this! Indeed, we have been wrongdoers!’
Innakum wa maa ta'budoona min doonil laahi hasabu Jahannama antum lahaa waaridoon
21:98Indeed you and what [idols] you worship besides Allah shall be fuel for hell, and you will enter it.
Law kaana haaa'ulaaa'i aalihatam maa waradoohaa wa kullun feehaa khaalidoon
21:99Had they been gods, they would not have entered it, and they will all remain in it [forever].
Lahum feehaa zafeerunw wa hum feehaa laa yasma'oon
21:100Their lot therein will be groaning, and they will not hear anything in it.
Innal lazeena sabaqat lahum minnal husnaaa ulaaa'ika 'anhaa mub'adoon
21:101Indeed those to whom there has gone beforehand [the promise of] the best reward from Us will be kept away from it.
Laa yasma'oona hasee sahaa wa hum fee mash tahat anfusuhum khaalidoon
21:102They will not hear even its faint sound and they will remain [forever] in what their souls desire.
Laa yahzunuhumul faza'ul akbaru wa tatalaq qaahumul malaaa'ikatu haazaa Yawmukumul lazee kuntum too'adoon
21:103The Great Terror will not upset them, and the angels will receive them [saying]: ‘This is your day which you were promised.’
Yawma natwis samaaa'a kataiyis sijilli lilkutub; kamaa badaanaa awwala khalqin nu'eeduh; wa'dan 'alainaa; innaa kunna faa'ileen
21:104The day We shall roll up the heaven, like rolling of the scrolls [meant] for writings. We will bring it back just as We began the first creation—a promise [binding] on Us. [That] indeed We will do.
Wa laqad katabnaa fiz Zaboori mim ba'diz zikri annal arda yarisuhaa 'ibaadi yas saalihoon
21:105Certainly We wrote in the Psalms, after the Torah: ‘Indeed My righteous servants shall inherit the earth.’
Inna fee haaza labalaa ghal liqawmin 'aabideen
21:106There is indeed in this a proclamation for a devout people.
Wa maaa arsalnaaka illaa rahmatal lil'aalameen
21:107We did not send you but as a mercy to all the nations.
Qul innamaa yoohaa ilaiya annamaaa ilaahukum illaahunw Waahid, fahal antum muslimoon
21:108Say, ‘It has been revealed to me that your God is the One God. So will you submit?’
Fa in tawallaw faqul aazantukum 'alaa sawaaa'; wa in adreee aqareebun am ba'eedum maa too'adoon
21:109But if they turn away, say, ‘I have proclaimed to you all alike, and I do not know whether what you have been promised is far or near.
21:110Indeed He knows whatever is spoken aloud, and He knows whatever you conceal.
