Al-Falaq

بِسْمِ ٱللَّهِ ٱلرَّحْمَٰنِ ٱلرَّحِيمِ قُلْ أَعُوذُ بِرَبِّ ٱلْفَلَقِ ﴿1﴾

Qul a'uzoo bi rabbil-falaq

113:1Say, ‘I seek the protection of the Lord of the daybreak

مِن شَرِّ مَا خَلَقَ ﴿2﴾

Min sharri ma khalaq

113:2from the evil of what He has created,

وَمِن شَرِّ غَاسِقٍ إِذَا وَقَبَ ﴿3﴾

Wa min sharri ghasiqin iza waqab

113:3and from the evil of the dark night when it falls,

وَمِن شَرِّ ٱلنَّفَّٰثَٰتِ فِى ٱلْعُقَدِ ﴿4﴾

Wa min sharrin-naffaa-thaati fil 'uqad

113:4and from the evil of the witches, who blow on knots,

وَمِن شَرِّ حَاسِدٍ إِذَا حَسَدَ ﴿5﴾

Wa min shar ri haasidin iza hasad

113:5and from the evil of the envious one when he envies.’
